Social Media/Online Marketing Specialist

Position Description:
Gordon Companies is looking for an energetic, innovative, creative and experienced Social Media /Online Marketing Specialist to join our team!

In this role, you will drive our digital marketing growth through strategic planning, development and oversight of our online brand identity including all social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Pintrest, web SEO, e-mail marketing and company blog). Proficiency in copywriting, social media marketing and graphic design is a must. Excellent eye for photo opportunities and video experience required.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Design, implement and optimize strategies on websites and social media platforms.
Create and deliver weekly, bi-weekly or monthly editorial calendars.
Create, curate and manage organic and paid social media content (images, video and text).
Work with established influencers and identify and recruit additional relevant influencers.
Establish and optimize company pages within each social media platform.
Set up video and photo shoots for social media.
Manage media landing pages.
Build out, design (images, video and text) and execute e-mail marketing campaigns.
Launch a customer facing company blog and write, edit and publish regular posts. that feature interesting and engaging content.
Maximize traffic by utilizing Search Engine Optimization keywords.
Promote blog posts using advertisements, emails, social media, downloads, and other methods to alert and attract new readers.
Monitor responses to posts via the website, social media, or other platforms to better understand the audience.
Monitor, listen and respond to users in a “Social” and professional way while cultivating leads and sales.
Manage, track and report on success of social media campaigns (organic and paid) on a monthly/quarterly basis.
Continuously improve by capturing and analyzing the appropriate social data/metrics, insights and best practices, and then acting on the information.
Monitor and prepare forward-looking reports to update internal staff on digital marketing usage statistics and metrics.
Stay current on industry trends for possible opportunities to attract new readers or create stronger, more engaging content.
Work with internal departments to research and develop key issue communications.
Assist the Marketing Department with other projects as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Journalism, Graphic Design, Marketing, Public Relations or related field.
2-4 years of experience in social media marketing for brands or businesses.
Proficiency in social media platforms such as but not limited to Facebook, Linkedin, Twitter, Instagram, Pintrest.
Experience developing e-mail marketing campaigns and customer facing blogs.
Excellent writing, editing (images/video/text), presentation and communication skills, including ability to think on one's feet and respond in clear, credible and concise terms.
Demonstrable social media marketing experience and social analytics tools knowledge.
Experience in graphic design software and tools (Adobe InDesign, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Acrobat, Adobe Illustrator, FTP file transfers, etc…).
Positive attitude, creativity, adaptability, detail oriented with good multitasking and organizational ability.
Basic knowledge of and ability to apply good photographic techniques.
Proficiency with computers, especially latest Windows OS, latest Apple OS, content management software, social media platforms, MS Office, and SEO keywords, basic understanding of Wordpress and HTML.
