NYS Sexual Harassment Training

The NYS Sexual Harassment Training deadline is fast approaching! As of October 9, 2019, employers are required to provide sexual harassment training to all of their employees. This interactive program, presented by Hurwitz & Fine, P.C., will enable attendees to satisfy the new training requirement. This program will be presented by three NYS Employment and Business Litigation attorneys and is designed to inform attendees of the ins and outs of the new law, how to prevent sexual harassment, and what to do if it occurs in the workplace. The program will also address employer liability, and the ramifications of bill SB 6577, which is set to have significant implications for employers, particularly in the event a discrimination/harassment claim is brought by an employee. Attendees will leave the presentation with their questions answered about the new law, and, at the end of the presentation, will receive a certification of their attendance. This certificate will acknowledge and satisfy the NYS mandate and employers should keep it in their employees’ personnel files.

This program is designed to be informative for both employers and employees. Additional information will be provided to assist employers with information on key provisions of the law. In order for an employer to fully satisfy the NYS Sexual Harassment Law, employers must have all of their employees present.
